Christmas Bread Recipes

Getting festive in the HomeBaker’s Club

Hello Homebaker!

So here we are at the end of the year in the HomeBaker’s club for one more update before school’s out for 2024; Christmas Recipes.

Enjoy these additions that join last year’s Classic Stollen, and the ever so tasty Chestnut, Bacon and Brie wreath which has become a firm class favourite.

Have a lovely Christmas, have fun with these, and I’ll see you again for the new year 😊

Mince Pie Frangipane Buns

These tasty buns have made their debut in this year’s Christmas bread making course; a light buttery bun base topped with crispy almond frangipane and encased inside – sweet, spiced mincemeat. Eating warm is essential and delicious. The process is quite a unique one, a brioche-style dough with a particular shaping method you may not have encountered before. Oh, and it’s fun to do too!

No Knead Apricot, Walnut and Stilton Loaf

Another no knead recipe joins the Club. This time a deeply savoury, crusty loaf that’s low maintenance yet somehow still a stunning centrepiece. Stilton can be swapped out if it is above your cheese threshold. Here we incorporate the fruit and nuts in the very beginning (naughty I know!) resulting in a crumb flecked with colour and studded with pockets of molten cheese.

And in the “with bread” section

A rich and creamy celeriac soup to start, and my homemade mincemeat recipe for filling your pies and mince pie buns.
