…every single time. That’s what we all really want isn’t it? To feel good on our bread making journey, knowing that everything will come out just right. That’s why the classes in the Homebaker’s Club are more than just a set of instructions and a quick video. They are fully formed real time lessons, full of chit chat, tips, and expert knowledge to give you the freedom that comes with baking bread with confidence. Not some of the time, but all of the time.
Finally crack it, once and for all
Enough failures. Enough flat, dense and doughy loaves. Enough frustration of “what went wrong!?”
It is totally achievable to bust out beautiful breads in your own kitchen on the regular. To have a recipe is one thing, but the real missing piece of the puzzle is what is not written in recipes alone. It’s the little things that make a difference in bread making and turn failure into success, and it’s those little things we’ll learn together, bit by bit, as we work through the recipes in the Homebaker’s Club.

FAQ
What is in the club?
Bread making video recipes with printable recipes presented in an easy to follow “real time” way with minimal pausing and rewinding, as well as educational videos to help you build a solid understanding of the process.
When I’ve made my bread, what then?
Just like at BWJ in-person classes, the Homebaker’s club has plenty of ideas of tasty accompaniments of what to make or serve with your bread to really celebrate your success!
Are there Sourdough recipes?
Yes there are! From September 2024 Sourdough has joined the club and will now be part of it moving forward!
Do I have to work through recipes in order?
Each bread in the Homebaker’s Club has a lesson to learn. Whether it’s the unique boiling of a bagel before you bake, or making a loaf with sweet potato mash. You can pick and choose recipes in any order you like and they are all listed with an idea of difficulty and estimation of how long it will take to make.
Will there be more classes added?
YES! Every once in a while I’ll drop in new breads, tasty dishes, and new techniques and principles to discover. Bread making is an evolutionary process, you’ll grow as a homebaker and the Homebaker’s Club will evolve too!
Can request what to see next?
Yep! On the Homebaker’s Club Homepage there is a suggestion box. If you have an idea of what you’d like to see next, or a suggestion of how we can make the club better, pop it in there and it will come directly to me! It is your club after all :-)
If I don’t like it, can I cancel?
Sure you can. Not everything is for everybody, and I appreciate that. So I’d never tie you in against your will. If you want to cancel your membership you can at any time, and we won’t take any further payments from you. If you’re unsure try a month’s subscription, and then upgrade to an annual package if you’re enjoying it.
Can I buy a subscription as a gift?
Sadly not, because this is an ongoing subscription an account needs to be created by the member themselves.
What measurements are the recipes in?
The vast majority of ingredients are measured by weight not volume for accuracy with measurements provided in grams and ounces. A set of scales is a must here and for small things measuring spoons are handy.
What equipment will I need?
For each recipe there will be a printable kit list so you can check you have exactly what you need before you start. Some bits of kit you’ll need are available in the Bake with Jack shop and you get a 10% member’s discount.
How about ingredients, are they hard to find?
For the most part in all my recipes I try to stick to readily available ingredients you can easily pick up in your weekly shopping. Things might be different depending on where you are in the world and in those instances where I use something specific, I do my best to provide alternatives.
Is baking bread really hard?
You’ll soon discover that with a handful of principles, some knowledge and practice, you’ll be cracking out amazing bread with ease. That is exactly what the Homebaker’s Club is here to bring for you. It’s a real journey, so don’t forget to have fun along the way.
I’ve been baking bread for a while, will I find something new and fun as well?
There are always new things to learn and new ideas in bread and as additional classes are added, the Homebaker’s Club will evolve bringing in those new ideas too as well as tasty dishes to inspire you to do more things with the bread that you’ve made.
Are the classes live or pre-recorded?
Everything in the Homebaker’s Club is pre-recorded and on demand ready to watch anytime. Whatever time zone you’re in you’ll be able to work through the classes at a time that suits you.
