Online Sourdough Courses have Landed in the HomeBaker’s Club!

From an empty jar to a puffy loaf…

Hello Homebaker!

It’s the moment many of you have been waiting for!

If you’ve been wanting to crack sourdough bread once and for all you’ll be delighted to hear that sourdough recipes are available now in the HomeBaker’s Club in the biggest update yet.

Let me take you through, step by step, the sourdough process. From making your own starter in an empty jar to your first ever loaves…

Sourdough Starter

This will be the foundation of your future of sourdough bread, a natural fermentation of flour and water brought to life creating bubbles to puff up our sourdough. It’s easy to make and I’ll take you step by step, troubleshooting common problems along the way so if things get tricky, you’ll be steered back on track.

Simple Sourdough Loaf

This is my classic loaf, let’s make it together in real time… discover the craft of sourdough, and use my no waste, low maintenance method to make your own perfectly puffed up, crispy, crunchy loaf to be proud of. You’ll learn the nuances of the precision incision with a Grignette for that glorious burst on top.

Seeded Sourdough Loaf

In contrast to the classic loaf, this one incorporates seeds and wholemeal flour which we need to adapt our recipe and timings to, to compensate for accelerated fermentation! This time there’s no need for stonebaking, steam trays or hot water, we’ll be baking in a deep Dutch oven.

Sourdough “Discard” Bloomer

The idea of sourdough “discard” is crackers to me; it’s the excess sourdough starter that needs to be routinely thrown away as you care for your starter. Bonkers. Using my method there won’t be any, however there are a few times where I feed my starter with good intentions to make sourdough and then never get round to it. These yeasted bloomers are here to save the day (and the waste) giving you the option of busting out some tasty bread while using up that excess. They’re pretty tasty too!

And in the “with bread” section

THREE new, quick and tasty recipes to eat with / make with your sourdough bread

If you’ve been waiting for sourdough to arrive in the club well here it is! And the best part is that it will now be part of the future of the HomeBaker’s club with more recipes to come including next week’s Spelt, Sunflower Seed and Orange Sourdough Brick (spoiler alert)

Have fun with these and I look forward to seeing you in class.
