Hello Homebaker!

I hope you are well and have enjoyed the festive season, this month’s club update contains an easy recipe for rolls, knots and plaits that we have been doing in class forever! It’s a great opportunity for beginners to practice shaping. Also, a French classic, the Pain de Campagne in all its stone-baked glory!

Have fun!

Easy Rolls, Knots and Plaits

This solid recipe is a class classic, making soft white rolls seeded or not. Once you understand the basic shapes (ropes and balls) you’ll be free to experiment with your own and get some great practice.

PaIN DE cAMPAGNE

It’s a good one and it’s ready for you in the club now! Made with a rye pre-ferment this crusty loaf is so full of flavour. You’ll be shaping, stone baking, and decorating with a fancy score too.

And in the “with bread” section

A tasty tortigioni and the ultimate of saucy sandwiches, the Croque Monseur!

Now iT’S easier to find recipes!

Thanks to all your feedback and suggestions in the members forum, the HUGE amount of bread recipes in the club are now organised, categorised and easier to find.

If you haven’t joined the club already there’s so much to learn from the very basics all the way to stone-baked sourdough made from your homemade starter.

And more to come.

See you in class :-)
